- Greet customers warmly and assist with their purchases in a friendly, professional manner
- Operate POS (Point of Sale) systems efficiently to process sales, returns, and exchanges
- Handle cash, credit card, and digital payments with accuracy and integrity
- Upsell products and promote store promotions to enhance sales opportunities
- Maintain knowledge of products through product demos and merchandising efforts
- Stock shelves, organize displays, and ensure the checkout area is clean and inviting
- Provide excellent customer service by addressing questions, resolving issues, and practicing good phone etiquette
Qualifications
- Prior cashiering experience in a retail or grocery store environment is preferred
- Strong communication skills, including bilingual abilities, are highly valued
- Basic math skills for cash handling and retail math calculations are essential
- Demonstrated ability to supervise or assist in supervising team members is a plus
- Knowledge of POS systems, merchandising, stocking, and upselling techniques is advantageous
