Job Title: Wellness Assistant (Resident Care Coordinator)

The Wellness Assistant plays a vital leadership role in supporting resident care, mentoring clinical associates, and partnering with families to ensure personalized, compassionate service every day.
The Wellness Assistant (Resident Care Coordinator) helps oversee the daily operations of the wellness department, ensuring resident care needs are met with excellence and compassion. This role supports the Wellness Director by monitoring resident conditions, managing staffing and schedules, mentoring associates, and serving as a trusted point of contact for residents and families. The Wellness Assistant ensures that clinical services reflect both regulatory standards and the elevated hospitality culture of Galerie Management.
Responsibilities and Duties:
- Monitor and address resident care needs, promptly reporting changes of condition and tracking incidents.
- Partner with the Wellness Director in conducting assessments and ensuring care plans are implemented effectively.
- Act as a resource for residents and families, providing education, support, and reassurance.
- Serve as a key liaison for families, maintaining ongoing communication through care plan meetings, phone calls, and emails.
- Support families’ social and emotional needs, encouraging their involvement in the resident’s experience.
- Hire, train, schedule, and supervise Resident Assistants, CNAs, and CMAs.
- Provide coaching, mentoring, and feedback to ensure high standards of care and service.
- Create and manage clinical staff schedules; serve on call as needed to ensure appropriate coverage.
- Monitor employee hours and staffing patterns to maximize efficiency and quality of care.
- Assist in planning, organizing, and directing clinical operations in accordance with state, federal, and company standards.
- Support budget management, including labor and departmental expenses.
- Ensure compliance with all clinical policies, procedures, and regulatory requirements.

Education and Experience:
- High School Diploma or GED required.
- Minimum of 3 years of clinical experience and 2 years of leadership experience preferred.
- At least 2 years of senior living experience required.
- Certified Medication Aide (CMA) licensure preferred
Knowledge and Skills:
- Strong organizational, time management, and problem-solving skills.
- Knowledge of nursing administration practices, assisted living regulations, and resident care procedures.
- Compassionate, professional, and able to build trust with residents, families, and associates.
- Ability to make independent decisions and lead effectively in a fast-paced environment.
Pay: $50,000.00 per year
