What are the responsibilities and job description for the Mover/ Driver position at Village Pack & Ship and Movers?
Village Pack and Ship Movers is a family-owned and operated company serving our community since 1997. Due to continued growth, we are hiring dependable Movers and Non-CDL Drivers to join our expanding moving and freight division.
We handle local and out-of-state residential moves, household goods transportation, and freight services. If you are hardworking, reliable, and take pride in delivering a professional moving experience, we want to hear from you.
This is a hands-on, physically active position with opportunity for growth into leadership roles.
Responsibilities
- Load, unload, wrap, and transport furniture and household goods
- Prepare and secure items to prevent damage
- Pack trucks efficiently and safely
- Disassemble and reassemble furniture as needed
- Safely operate truck and trailer along with a 20–26 ft box trucks (Driver role)
- Lead crews and manage job sites professionally (Lead/Driver role)
- Provide excellent customer service during local and long-distance moves
- Follow safety procedures and company guidelines
- Assist with freight pickups and deliveries
Qualifications
For Movers:
- Ability to lift heavy items repeatedly
- Comfortable with stairs, long carries, and physically demanding work
- Positive attitude and team mindset
- Starting pay is based on experience range is $16 - $18.
For Non-CDL Drivers / Lead Movers:
- Box truck driving experience REQUIRED
- Valid driver’s license with clean driving record (must present at interview)
- Prior moving experience preferred
- Leadership skills and ability to manage a crew
- Starting pay is based on experience range is $20 - $23.
