Position Summary
The Village of Shorewood Hills (population 2,139) is seeking applicants for the position of Deputy Clerk/Deputy Treasurer. Shorewood Hills is a highly desirable community that is an inner ring suburb of Madison, Wisconsin. Shorewood Hills is a welcoming and inclusive full-service community that prides itself on being a wonderful place to live, work, play, learn, and visit. The Deputy Clerk/Deputy Treasurer assists with the general duties of the Finance Director/Treasurer, Clerk/Deputy Treasurer, as well as those associated with the Village Hall Administrative Office. Examples of duties include processing accounts payable, payroll support, Utility Clerk duties, general accounting, assistance with elections, meetings/committee support, and general office responsibilities.
Education and Experience
Requirements for the Deputy Clerk/Deputy Treasurer position include an Associate’s degree in accounting or business-related field, or equivalent professional work experience. A minimum of two (2) years of general accounting or clerk experience is required. Municipal office experience is preferred. Certification from the WMCA or the MTAW is desirable. Additional continuing education and training may be required. Some evening work is required. Experience with Caselle/Civic Systems is a plus. Pay range will be $51,000-69,000 DOQ.
