Position Type: Part-Time
Schedule: Monday–Friday, 8:00 AM – 12:00 PM (4-hour shift)
Pay Rate: $14–$16 per hour (based on experience)
Position Overview:
Village of Shiny Stars is seeking a reliable, nurturing, and flexible Part-Time Floater Teacher to support multiple classrooms throughout the center. This role is ideal for someone who enjoys working with children of various age groups and thrives in a dynamic environment.
Key Responsibilities:
- Provide classroom support across infant, toddler, and preschool rooms as needed
- Assist lead teachers with daily activities, transitions, and supervision
- Ensure a safe, clean, and engaging environment for all children
- Help implement age-appropriate learning activities and routines
- Support children’s social, emotional, and developmental growth
- Maintain active supervision and follow all licensing and safety guidelines
- Communicate effectively with staff and assist with classroom needs
Light Housekeeping Duties Include:
- Sanitizing tables, chairs, toys, and learning materials
- Sweeping and spot-cleaning classroom floors
- Assisting with organizing classroom supplies and materials
- Cleaning up after meals, snacks, and activities
- Ensuring common areas remain tidy and presentable throughout the shift
Qualifications:
- Previous childcare experience preferred
- Must be dependable, punctual, and flexible
- Ability to work collaboratively with a team
- Passion for working with young children
- Must meet state licensing requirements (or be willing to obtain)
