VILLAGE OF MAYWOOD

Job Title

Position Title: Director Public Works

FLSA Status:

Department: Public Works

Reports To: Village Manager

Compensation: $105K -120 K

Location: Onsite and on call

COMPANY DESCRIPTION

The Village of Maywood is a historic, close-knit community of roughly 23,500 residents located just 12 miles west of downtown Chicago in Cook County. Founded in 1881 and home to a proud legacy that includes ties to the Underground Railroad and to Loyola University Medical Center — a nationally ranked, Level I trauma and academic medical campus — Maywood offers the character of a traditional Midwestern village with the connectivity and opportunity of the Chicago metropolitan area.

Operating under a Village Manager form of government and guided by a mission of “Excellence in Service,” the Village is investing in the systems, infrastructure, and leadership needed to modernize how local government serves its residents. This is a rare opportunity for a technology leader to build a Department of Information Technology essentially from the ground up: shaping strategy, standards, and culture rather than inheriting someone else's. The Director will work closely with the Village Manager, elected officials, and department heads to make Maywood a model for smart, secure, and resident-focused municipal technology.

If there are samples that need to be re-sampled, these must be completed in a timely fashion to avoid violations.

· Complete all necessary reports, forms, and documents necessary to remain in compliance with all applicable governing agencies such as Illinois EPA, US EPA, Illinois DNR, IDOT, and other regulatory agencies.

· Enforce all provisions of water and sanitary collection system ordinances, Federal, State, County, and Local laws and regulations.

EDUCATION, EXPERIENCE & QUALIFICATIONS:
