Summary
The Village of Lake Hallie is seeking a reliable and experienced On-Call Snow Plowing Operator to join our winter operations team. In this role, you will be responsible for operating a loader with a plow and wing, to efficiently and safely clear snow from roads, parking lots, and other designated areas. Your expertise will be essential in maintaining safe and accessible environments during winter weather conditions.
Responsibilities
- Operate loader to clear snow from roads, parking lots, and other areas.
- Respond promptly to on-call requests during snow events.
- Perform pre- and post-operation equipment checks and light maintenance.
- Follow safety protocols and procedures to ensure a safe working environment.
- Communicate effectively with the team and supervisor.
Qualifications
- Proven experience operating loaders and other heavy machinery.
- Prior experience in snow removal operations preferred.
- Valid driver's license and a clean driving record.
- Ability to work on-call during irregular hours, including nights, weekends, and holidays.
- Strong understanding of safety protocols and procedures.
- Ability to perform physical tasks in cold and challenging weather conditions.
