Duties
- Monitor and control traffic at designated crossing points to ensure safe passage for students and pedestrians.
- Communicate clearly with drivers, providing directions and signals to facilitate safe crossings.
- Assist students in safely crossing streets, ensuring they understand traffic signals and rules.
- Report any hazardous conditions or incidents to appropriate authorities promptly.
- Maintain a visible presence during school arrival and dismissal times to deter unsafe behavior from drivers.
Qualifications
- Previous experience in a safety or compliance management role is preferred but not required.
- Strong communication skills to effectively interact with children, parents, and motorists.
- Ability to remain calm under pressure and make quick decisions for the safety of others.
- Must be reliable and punctual, with a commitment to maintaining a safe environment for all pedestrians.
