What are the responsibilities and job description for the Public Works Tradesperson position at Village of Bemus Point?
-General labor, primarily outdoor work, for the Village Streets Department
-Works under the direction of the Streets Superintendent, duties include but are not limited to: Safely operates lawn maintenance machinery (mowers, tractors), snow blowers, small dump truck * Safely operates power equipment including but not limited to: weed wackers, push mowers, hand operated shop power tools, leaf vacuums * Safely operates hand tools i.e. shovels, rakes, yard tools, shop hand & power tools * Assists with trash & pet waste pick-up and yard waste pick-up * Assists with carpentry work, facilities repair & maintenance, painting, road patching, road striping, minor concrete work * Assists with maintenance of and minor work on power equipment * Seasonal fall leaf pick-up, snow removal and clearing, both mechanical and manual * Assist with seasonal set-up, removal, and winter storage of benches, tables, amenities etc. * Safely assist with traffic control, setting/removal of cones & barricades * Fill in for Streets Superintendent on days off or vacations * Any other duties as requested by the Streets Superintendent or the Mayor
