Seeking a highly skilled, organized and detail oriented Fiscal Officer to oversee and manage the financial operations of our local office within the Village. The position of Village Fiscal Officer is established under ORC 733.262; duties and functions are prescribed throughout ORC Chapter 733 and also in the Village Officers Handbook published by the Auditor of the State of Ohio. The ideal candidate will have experience with financial administration of the Village; in serving as a Clerk of Village Council; managing HR and benefits administration; and is responsible for the Village's public records including records requests.
- This position is responsible for fulfilling all duties and functions of the position under the general laws of the State of Ohio and the ordinances and policies of the Village.

- Experience in state and federal grant administration and the financing of complex municipal projects is preferred.
- The Fiscal Officer is expected to stay up-to-date on municipal finance regulations, participate in all required and relevant professional training and have the ability to improve operations and streamline processes.
- The Fiscal Officer serves under the Village Mayor and Council, and is under the supervision of the Mayor of the Village.
- Candidate must have proper fiscal credentials and possess extensive expertise in a governmental and nonprofit position showing an understanding of accounting principles, creating and monitoring a budget, completing financial analysis and knowing regulatory government compliance policies and guidelines.
- his role requires the ability to work within a small office environment Monday through Friday, full-time (unless otherwise discussed in a part-time position).
- It requires the ability to also manage complex financial reports to support the village's fiscal health and short and long-term objectives.
Responsibilities include and are not limited to:
- Managing all aspects of fiscal operations including budgeting, payroll, forecasting, and financial planning to support all aspects of the village financial operations.
- Oversee accounting such as general ledge accounting, account reconciliation, balance sheet reconciliation, accounts payable and receivables, as well as cost control measures and cost management initiatives.
- Prepare and interpret financial statements, reports, and analyses including profit & loss statements, cash flow analysis and revenue management reports, as well as preparing financial reports for audits.
- Lead regulatory reporting efforts ensuring timely submission of financial disclosures in accordance with government standards.
- Utilize financial government software for accurate bookkeeping, ledger maintenance, and data analysis to support decision making processes.
- Perform internal controls including account analysis, account reconciliation.

Pay: $20.00 - $30.00 per hour
