What are the responsibilities and job description for the Summer Laborer position at Village of Alfred?
Job Summary
We are in search of summer laborers. This position will include working outdoors and indoors at various locations throughout the Village of Alfred including the wastewater treatment plant, the water division and on the village streets. This will include lawn mowing, weed whacking, painting, garbage removal, shovel work, manual labor, cleaning, etc.
Responsibilities
- Perform general maintenance and cleaning of work areas.
- Operate equipment safely and efficiently.
- Follow safety protocols to ensure a safe working environment.
- Collaborate with team members to complete projects on time.
- Maintain accurate records of work performed and materials used.
Experience
- Previous experience in a labor-intensive role is preferred but not required.
- Ability to follow instructions and work as part of a team.
- Capability to lift heavy objects (up to 50 pounds).
- A positive attitude and willingness to learn new skills.
Job Type: Temporary
Pay: $16.00 - $18.00 per hour
