The Village of Ackley is seeking a reliable and motivated Maintenance Technician I to join our team! This position is responsible for maintaining a safe, functional, and welcoming environment for residents and staff through general facility maintenance, repairs, and preventative maintenance.
Responsibilities
- Perform general maintenance and repairs including HVAC, plumbing, electrical, and carpentry work
- Respond promptly to maintenance requests
- Assist with grounds maintenance, snow removal, and landscaping
- Complete preventative maintenance tasks and maintain accurate records
- Ensure compliance with safety and OSHA standards
- Assist with equipment and furniture installation
Qualifications
- High School Diploma or equivalent required
- Technical or trade experience preferred
- Previous maintenance experience in healthcare, assisted living, commercial, or residential settings preferred
- Ability to work independently and prioritize tasks
- Strong communication and problem-solving skills
- Must be able to lift, push, pull, and perform physical labor throughout the shift
- Must be available to work weekends and holidays as needed
