Food Service Cleaning Assistant

Job Opportunity at Village Inn:
We are seeking a highly motivated and detail-oriented Food Service Cleaning Assistant to join our kitchen team. As a Food Service Cleaning Assistant, you will be responsible for maintaining a clean and safe kitchen environment, ensuring that all dishware is sparkling clean, and supporting food preparation as needed.

Key Responsibilities:*

• Maintain a clean kitchen, including washing and sorting soiled dishes, prepping foods as required, and keeping the dish area free of clutter and organized.
• Set up dish stations, including dishmachines and sinks.
• Ensure clean / dry floors throughout the shift.
• Properly wash, stack, and store china, glassware, silverware, cookware, and storage containers.
• Change water of machines and sinks every two hours or more often as required by business levels, and use chemical dilutions set by EcoLab.
• Assist in timely storing of food deliveries.
• Maintain trash cans throughout the shift and remove full trashcans and boxes at the end of each shift.
• Maintain the dry storage area and organization of storage shelves.
• Follow posted daily dish cleaning duties.
• Assist in food prep and any other duties set forth or requested by the chef as needed.
