Job Summary
We are seeking a dynamic and experienced Assistant Director to lead our recently expanded Infant and Toddler Center. This vital role offers an exciting opportunity to shape early childhood education programs, oversee daily operations, and foster a nurturing environment for our youngest learners. As an integral part of our management team, you will ensure the delivery of high-quality educational experiences directly with staff and children.
Responsibilities
- Provide visionary leadership to the Infant and Toddler Center, ensuring alignment with organizational goals and educational standards
- Oversee curriculum development to promote age-appropriate learning, social-emotional growth, and developmental milestones
- Manage daily operations including staff scheduling, classroom supervision, and compliance with licensing regulations
- Lead strategic planning initiatives to support program expansion, quality improvement, and community outreach
- Develop and monitor budgets, ensuring fiscal responsibility while maintaining high-quality programming
- Supervise senior staff members, providing mentorship, performance evaluations, and professional development opportunities
- Engage with families and community partners through effective communication, public speaking engagements, and outreach activities
Qualifications
- Proven experience in education administration or management within early childhood settings or similar environments
- Strong background in curriculum development, classroom teaching, and working directly with young children
- Demonstrated leadership skills with experience supervising staff and managing teams effectively
- Excellent strategic planning abilities coupled with budgeting expertise to support program growth
- Knowledge of licensing requirements, safety standards, and best practices in infant/toddler care
- Associates/Bachelor’s degree in Early Childhood Education, CD 31 Infant/Toddler Studies, and Administration Course CD 38
