As a Shelter Advocate, you’ll be a vital part of our mission to create a safe, welcoming, and healing environment. Your responsibilities will include but not limited to:
- Resident Support & Orientation
- Greet residents warmly and respond to requests for assistance or supplies.
- Help new arrivals feel at home by orienting them to the shelter and meeting their initial needs.
- Provide emotional support and crisis intervention when needed.
- Shelter Operations
- Prepare and serve nutritious meals to residents.
- Maintain cleanliness and order throughout the shelter.
- Answer agency phones, make referrals, and share resource information.

In an effort to ensure 24/7 coverage, Advocate will be on time for their scheduled shift and complete their entire shift without leaving the premises.
Job Type: Part-time up to 32 hours a week
Salary: $15.00 per hour DOQ
Schedule:
- shifts vary and could include day, evening, Alt Weekends, holidays, and on/call.
