Responsibilities
- Assist clients with activities of daily living (ADLs) such as bathing, grooming, dressing, and toileting, ensuring dignity and safety at all times.
- Provide companionship, monitor well-being, and report any changes in health or behavior to supervisors.
- Perform light housekeeping, meal preparation, and adhere to dietary restrictions as needed.
- Assist with mobility and transfers using proper techniques, and support medication reminders under guidelines.
- Ensure a safe home environment, follow care plans, and document observations for continuity of care.
Summary
As a Caregiver/Personal Assistant, you will provide compassionate in-home or community-based support to individuals, with a focus on seniors and those with developmental or intellectual disabilities. Reporting to the program supervisor or care coordinator, you will assist with activities of daily living, monitor health and safety, perform light housekeeping, meal preparation, and transportation as needed. Your role emphasizes dignity, independence, and quality of life, leveraging strong first aid, CPR, and manual handling skills to ensure calm, respectful, and reliable care.
