Village Green Charter School (VGCS) is seeking a passionate and innovative English Language Arts teacher for the 2026–2027 school year. Through our highly successful dual enrollment program, many students graduate having already earned 6–9 college credits. VGCS utilizes the HMH curriculum and is highly SAT-focused, with an emphasis on literacy development, analytical writing, evidence-based reading, and SAT-aligned instructional practices that prepare students for college readiness and success beyond high school. Responsibilities for ELA Teachers Include: - Create a positive, structured, and achievement-oriented learning environment that engages and motivates students. - Demonstrate knowledge of the HMH curriculum and provide supplemental instructional supports as needed. - Integrate SAT-aligned instructional strategies, analytical reading, writing, and test-preparation skills into daily instruction. - Use clear and effective oral and written communication. - Build strong partnerships with families to support students’ academic and personal growth. - Utilize assessment and student performance data to personalize instruction and drive learning. - Collaborate with the ELA department to develop and implement lesson plans and instructional strategies. - Maintain an organized lesson plan binder.
