Duties
- Greet customers warmly and provide exceptional service to enhance their shopping experience
- Assist customers with product selections, demonstrations, and answering questions to promote sales
- Operate the Point of Sale (POS) system accurately for transactions, including cash handling and credit card processing
- Upsell additional products or services to maximize sales opportunities while respecting customer preferences
- Maintain attractive merchandise displays through merchandising and stocking efforts
- Ensure the sales floor is clean, organized, and well-stocked to create an inviting environment
- Handle phone inquiries professionally, providing information and directing calls as needed
Requirements
- Previous retail sales experience preferred, especially in grocery or hospitality environments, but willing to train the right candidate
- Familiarity with POS systems, cashiering, and lottery sales a plus
- Strong communication skills
- Knowledge of merchandising, stocking, and inventory management techniques
- Ability to perform basic math calculations quickly and accurately for cash handling and sales transactions
- Experience with liquor and lottery operations is advantageous
