Job Overview
We are seeking a passionate and dedicated Lead Teacher to join our Village Early Learning Center team. In this vital role, you will serve as a guiding force in creating a nurturing, engaging, and educational environment for young children. Responsibilities

• Lead the planning and implementation of developmentally appropriate curricula that incorporate literacy education, math, physical education, and Montessori principles.
• Oversee classroom management to create a safe, inclusive, and stimulating environment conducive to learning and exploration.
• Mentor and support teaching staff by providing guidance on lesson planning, behavior management, classroom organization, and child welfare best practices.
• Collaborate with families to communicate children’s progress, address individual needs—including special education and early intervention—and foster strong home-school partnerships.
• Conduct assessments using standardized testing methods to monitor developmental milestones and tailor instruction accordingly.
• Ensure compliance with all licensing requirements, safety protocols, and quality standards related to childcare and preschool education.
• Engage in ongoing professional development related to childhood development, curriculum development, and innovative teaching strategies.

Requirements

• Proven experience working with children in early childhood settings, including preschool or daycare environments.
• Demonstrated expertise in curriculum development, lesson planning, classroom management, and behavior management techniques.
• Strong knowledge of childhood development theories, special education practices, early intervention strategies, and literacy education.
• Experience with Montessori methods or other specialized educational approaches is highly desirable.
• Excellent communication skills to effectively collaborate with staff, families, and community partners.
• Ability to lead a team of educators while maintaining a positive and energetic classroom atmosphere.
• Formal qualifications in early childhood education or a related field; additional certifications in special education or child welfare are advantageous.
