Duties
- Lead and supervise kitchen staff, fostering a collaborative and efficient work environment
- Oversee food production processes, ensuring consistency, quality, and presentation standards are met
- Manage inventory control and food handling procedures to minimize waste and optimize resources
- Plan menus in collaboration with management, incorporating dietary requirements and fresh seasonal ingredients
- Ensure compliance with food safety regulations and maintain cleanliness standards across the kitchen
- Coordinate catering events, banquets, and fine dining services with precision and professionalism
- Monitor shift operations, manage staffing schedules, and oversee food service management to ensure smooth workflow
Requirements
- Proven experience in a culinary leadership role within restaurant or hospitality settings
- Extensive knowledge of food preparation techniques, kitchen management, and food safety protocols
- Supervising experience with team management skills to motivate and develop staff
- Familiarity with inventory management, inventory control, and food management systems
- Excellent cooking skills across various cuisines with an emphasis on presentation and quality
- Experience in menu planning, shift management, and restaurant operations
- Knowledge of dietary department standards and food handling regulations
- Ability to thrive in a fast-paced environment while maintaining attention to detail
