What are the responsibilities and job description for the Barback position at Village Brewing Company?
Key Responsibilities:
- Support Bartenders: Assist bartenders by restocking and maintaining the bar area, ensuring all tools and supplies are readily available for service.
- Restocking: Keep the bar fully stocked with liquor, beer, wine, garnishes, glassware, and other essentials throughout the shift.
- Cleaning and Maintenance: Ensure the bar area is clean, organized, and well-maintained, including washing glassware, wiping down surfaces, and emptying trash.
- Inventory Assistance: Assist with inventory checks and help keep track of bar supplies and products.
- Customer Service: Provide exceptional service to customers by helping bartenders deliver drinks and serving guests when needed.
- Assisting with Deliveries: Help with unloading deliveries and storing products in appropriate areas.
- Support Team: Work collaboratively with the bar and wait staff to ensure a positive experience for our guests.
Qualifications:
- Experience: Previous experience in a fast-paced bar or restaurant environment preferred, but not required.
- Physical Stamina: Ability to stand for long periods, lift heavy boxes, and carry items throughout the shift at fast speeds (ice bins, bus tubs, liquor/beer cases, trash bags).
- Team Player: A positive, collaborative attitude and the ability to work well under pressure.
- Dependability: Punctual, reliable, and committed to maintaining a high standard of service.
- Flexibility: Availability to work nights, weekends, and holidays as needed.
- Age: Must be at least 21 years old.
