What are the responsibilities and job description for the Shuttle Driver position at Village Automotive Group?
Boston Volvo is looking for a shuttle driver to join our team. Ideal candidates have at least two years of experience driving passengers.
Responsibilities:
- Shuttle customers to Kenmore Square / Central Station
- Collate and edit transport schedules based on the passengers' needs.
- Arrive at pick up location prior to departure times.
- Confirming that all passengers are present, and recording any no-shows.
- Ensure adherence to passenger limits, both seated and standing.
- Avoid high-traffic and accident-prone routes.
- Record and report all major accidents and incidents to the supervisor.
- Check that passengers disembark at the correct destinations, and in a timely manner.
- Ensure that the shuttle bus is fueled, well-maintained, and presentable at all times.
- Observe all relevant traffic and safety laws.
Requirements:
- 2 years of previous experience driving groups of people.
- Outstanding knowledge of applicable transport and safety codes.
- Excellent route planning abilities.
- Great improvisational skills.
- Working knowledge car maintenance and restoration techniques.
- First Aid training is preferred.
