POSITION SUMMARY:
The purpose of this temporary position is to supervise the personnel and operation of the Villa Sport Day Camp to ensure a safe, clean, friendly, and positive environment. This position is responsible for coordinating all activities and programming for camp. This position will be provided with general supervision by the Kids Club Director and will need to be organized and able to lead Villa Sport Associates with minimal direct supervision.
IMPORTANT DATES:
- Camp starts on June 15 and ends August 21.
- Training starts May 18; the Coordinator must be available for training.
COMPENSATION AND BENEFITS INCLUDE:
- Hourly, dependent upon relevant experience to the role.
- OR State Sick Leave pay.
- Complimentary club membership.
QUALIFICATIONS:
- Ability to develop and manage children’s programs
- Minimum two years experience working with children
- Relevant college degree
- Knowledgeable of camp administrative practices and one year of leadership experience with an organized youth camp, school or other youth-serving organization.
- Experience supervising children. Ability to visually observe children and to physically intervene when the safety of a child could be compromised
- Ability to physically move with children through a wide variety of indoor and outdoor program settings and activities.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills
- Ability to work with minimal supervision
- Excellent customer service skills, energetic, enthusiastic and motivational
- Position requires both adult and pediatric First Aid/CPR certification prior to hire date
- Must meet all state requirements for working in a licensed child care facility
- Bilingual a plus, Spanish preferred
