What are the responsibilities and job description for the Landscape Account Manager position at Villa Park Landscape?
Build Relationships. Lead Great Teams. Grow Your Career.
As one of Southern California's premier privately owned landscape contractors, we've built our reputation by providing outstanding service to HOA and commercial clients while empowering our managers to make decisions and build client relationships.
Unlike many large corporate landscape companies, we're privately owned. That means:
- Decisions are made quickly.
- You'll have direct access to company leadership.
- We invest in long-term client relationships—not short-term numbers.
- We believe our Account Managers should spend time with clients and crews, not behind a desk.
Our goal is simple: provide the resources of a large company while maintaining the culture and responsiveness of a family-owned business.
What You'll Do
As a Landscape Supervisor, you'll oversee a portfolio of HOA and commercial landscape maintenance accounts and serve as the primary contact for your clients.
Responsibilities include:
- Build strong relationships with Board Members, Property Managers, and commercial clients.
- Conduct regular site inspections to ensure exceptional landscape quality.
- Lead, coach, and develop maintenance crews and irrigators.
- Identify landscape improvements and prepare enhancement proposals.
- Oversee irrigation management and recommend water-saving improvements.
- Attend HOA board meetings and client meetings.
- Manage labor, materials, and budgets to achieve profitability goals.
- Ensure all work is completed safely and to company standards.
What Makes You Successful
We're looking for someone who enjoys building relationships just as much as maintaining beautiful landscapes.
You should have:
- Strong horticultural and irrigation knowledge
- Excellent customer service and communication skills
- Experience preparing proposals and selling landscape enhancements
- Strong leadership and team development skills
- Ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment
- Proficiency with computers, tablets, and smartphones
Preferred Qualifications
- Degree in Horticulture, Landscape Management, or related field (or equivalent experience)
- 5 years of landscape maintenance management experience
- QAL, CLIA, CLT, ISA, or other industry certifications
- Bilingual English/Spanish
- Valid California Driver's License with an acceptable driving record
