Job Overview
Villa Ornamental Iron is a trusted structural steel & ornamental metals fabrication shop with experience in retail, multi-family, industrial, etc. We maintain a very friendly and playful work environment. We are seeking a detail-oriented and experienced Estimator to join our team. The ideal candidate will play a crucial role in the planning and execution of construction projects by providing accurate cost estimates.
Responsibilities
- Analyze project plans and specifications to determine the scope of work and required materials.
- Prepare detailed cost estimates for construction projects, including labor, materials, equipment, and overhead.
- Ability to thrive in a fast-paced environment
- Utilize software tools such as Bluebeam for accurate estimating and documentation.
- Maintain strong relationships with clients, subcontractors, and suppliers to facilitate effective communication.
- Structural steel erection, columns, beams, moment frames, steel fencing, railings, ladders, canopies
Qualifications
- 3 Years of Experience Required
- Spanish speaking a plus but not required
- Strong understanding of construction project management principles, including scheduling, budgeting, and risk assessment.
- Excellent negotiation skills for working with contractors and suppliers.
- Familiarity with construction site operations and safety protocols.
- Proficient in using estimating software such as Bluebeam.
