In this vital role, you will assist residents with daily activities, administer medications safely, and provide personalized care that promotes independence, dignity, and well-being. - Assist residents with activities of daily living such as bathing, dressing, grooming, and mobility to promote comfort and independence.
- Safely administer medications following prescribed protocols, ensuring accuracy in dosage and timing in compliance with HIPAA regulations.
- Monitor vital signs including blood pressure, pulse, temperature, and respiration to track health status.
- Document medical information accurately using electronic health record (EHR) systems, maintaining detailed medical records and medication logs.
- Support residents with specialized needs such as , dementia care, hospice care, or working with individuals with developmental disabilities.
- Perform catheter care, and wound care as needed for residents.
- Maintain a safe environment by adhering to infection control protocols and assisting with emergency responses when necessary.
- Prior experience in assisted living facilities, nursing homes, hospitals, or home care settings is preferred, but not required.
- Knowledge of medical terminology, physiology, anatomy, and nursing practices related to patient care.
- Familiarity with EMR/EHR systems for accurate documentation of medical records and medication administration.
- Ability to work effectively with people of all ages and backgrounds, especially seniors and individuals with disabilities.
- Strong understanding of HIPAA regulations to ensure patient privacy and confidentiality.
- Excellent communication skills to collaborate with healthcare teams and provide compassionate support to residents.
