The Villa at Stamford for Rehabilitation and Health is seeking a Full-time Maintenance Techninion
The Facility Maintenance Techninion is responsible for performing a wide range of maintenance tasks to ensure the safety and efficient operation of the facility.
Schedule: Monday - Friday 8am - 4pm plus On-call rotation
Key Responsibilities:
- Perform regular inspections and maintenance on equipment and systems
- Conduct repairs and adjustments as necessary to maintain safety standards.
- Respond promptly to maintenance request and emergencies.
- Maintain a clean and organized work environment.
- Other duites as assigned.
Skills and Qualifications:
- Assisting with major projects: Participating in building projects, such as new installations, repairs and Audits.
- Painting and staining: Performing basic painting and staining tasks to maintain the appearance of facility.
- Basic Technical skills: Knowledge of various building systems and equipment, such as plumbing, HVAC, electrical and mechanical systems.
- Problem-solving skills: Ability to identify and solve problems quickly and efficiently.
- Physical abilities: Strong ability to lift, push, pull,climb and with no physical restrictions.
- Communication skills: Ability to communicate effectively with supervisor and others.
- Safety awareness: Understanding and adhering to safety regulations and procedures.
Working Conditions and Experience Requirements for a Maintenance Technician:
- Previous experience in building or facility maintenance
- May involve working in various environments, including indoor and outdoor setting
- May require lifting heavy objects and standing for extended periods.
- On-call availability for emergency maintenance situations will be required.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
- Basic understanding of building codes, safety standards, and OSHA regulations
- Must have a high school diploma
