What are the responsibilities and job description for the Network Engineer 3-egl position at VIKTech LLC?
VIKTech is seeking a fully cleared Network Engineer (NE) based out of Maryland.
The Level 3 Network Engineer (NE) shall possess the following capabilities:
Shall have ten (10) years experience in the implementation and technical support of multi-platform, multi-system networks to encompass diagnosing network performance shortcomings and designing and implementing performance improvements.
Ten (10) years experience supporting network solutions for complex, high performance systems composed of UNIX or LINUX based hardware platforms
Significant experience provisioning and sustaining network infrastructures and have experience developing, operating, and managing networks required to operate in a secure PKI, IPSEC, or VPN enabled environment.
Significant experience with CISCO network equipment, i.e. 2800 series, 6509, 6513, 3825, 3750, 4900, ASR-1004 & 1006, etc
Broad technical experience and knowledge of peer-to-peer distributed storage networks, peer-to-peer routing and application messaging frameworks
Able to understand routing protocols, QOS, be able to implement traffic shaping and policing on the network, and understand IPSEC tunneling.
Qualifications:
Twenty (20) years experience as a NE in programs and contracts of similar scope, type and complexity is required.
Demonstrated experience in planning and leading Systems Engineering efforts is required.
chelor’s degree in System Engineering, Computer Science, Information Systems, Engineering Science, Engineering Management, or related discipline from an accredited college or university is required.
Five (5) years of additional NE experience may be substituted for a bachelor’s degree.
