Viking Social Agency (Supporting a Major Entertainment Studio)

The Social Media Manager plays a key role in the day-to-day execution and management of social media campaigns for a major entertainment studio. This position is responsible for bringing social strategies to life across owned social channels, ensuring content is published accurately and on schedule, communities are actively engaged, and campaign assets are managed efficiently throughout the lifecycle of a title.


The ideal candidate is highly organized, detail-oriented, and passionate about entertainment, social media, and digital culture. They thrive in a fast-paced environment, can manage multiple priorities simultaneously, and are comfortable collaborating across internal agency teams, studio stakeholders, creative partners, and platform representatives.


Responsibilities
  • Execute day-to-day social media activities across platforms including Instagram, TikTok, Facebook, X, YouTube, Threads, Snapchat, Pinterest, and emerging channels.
  • Manage content publishing calendars, scheduling, and platform uploads to ensure timely and accurate execution of campaign plans.
  • Coordinate social asset delivery, trafficking, approvals, and version control across multiple stakeholders.
  • Write and adapt social copy that aligns with campaign objectives, platform best practices, and brand voice.
  • Monitor social channels daily, providing community management support including audience engagement, comment moderation, and issue escalation when necessary.
  • Maintain channel health by managing account settings, access permissions, verification requests, and platform updates.
  • Partner closely with creative, editorial, influencer, and paid media teams to ensure seamless campaign execution across all social touchpoints.
  • Support real-time social coverage during key campaign moments, premieres, trailers, events, and cultural conversations.
  • Track performance metrics and assist in preparing recurring reports, campaign recaps, and audience insights.
  • Monitor trends, platform features, and emerging social behaviors to identify opportunities for content optimization and engagement.
  • Assist with influencer and creator campaign execution, including asset coordination, content tracking, approvals, and reporting.
  • Ensure all content adheres to studio, legal, platform, and brand guidelines before publication.
  • Maintain detailed campaign documentation, timelines, and project trackers to support efficient cross-functional collaboration.

  • Qualifications
    • 3–5 years of experience managing social media accounts, preferably within entertainment, media, agency, or consumer brands.
    • Deep familiarity with major social platforms, publishing tools, social media best practices, current trends, and the continuously changing landscape.
    • Strong copywriting and proofreading skills with exceptional attention to detail.
    • Experience using social management and reporting platforms such as Sprinklr, Khoros, Sprout Social, Tubular, ListenFirst, native reporting tools, or similar tools.
    • Ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously while meeting deadlines in a fast-paced environment.
    • Strong communication and organizational skills with a collaborative, solutions-oriented mindset.
    • Passion for film, television, streaming content, and entertainment marketing.
    • Experience supporting theatrical, streaming, or entertainment campaigns is highly preferred.
    • Turnkey content editing and execution is a plus.
