PRIMARY FUNCTION: To set-up, maintain, and support PC hardware and software and other computer-related equipment for all Viking locations and employees. Perform general customer support for business systems and technology in a manufacturing and office environment. PRIMARY DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES: Provide technical support for desktop PC’s, Microsoft Office (O365), barcode scanners, printers, manufacturing systems and applications. Install/configure/maintain/repair PC’s and PC-related hardware and software, printers, VOIP and mobile phones. Order and execute the PC warranty/refresh/replace program. Provide technical support for end users, including hands-on assistance and training if needed. Utilize ticket tracking system to document all support incidents. Create or update technical articles as needed. Deliver onboarding IT overview and instructions to new hires. EDUCATION AND/OR EXPERIENCE REQUIREMENTS: AA or AS degree in an Information Systems related field and 1 year experience in IT or 3-5 years of experience in related position. Basic understanding of networking fundamentals (switches, routers, access points, cabling/connectivity, etc.) Knowledge of Microsoft Windows operating systems in a domain environment Experience with help desk or service desk ticket or incident tracking systems. Good communication and organizational skills. Proficient at keyboarding OTHER SPECIAL REQUIREMENTS: Experience with ServiceNow ticketing system a plus. Proficient with Microsoft Office (O365) products a plus WORK ENVIRONMENT REQUIREMENTS: Onsite M-F during core business hours. Must be able to travel between sites as required. Performs work in both office and manufacturing settings. Perform general office functions. Visual acuity needed for close detail work and computer use. General manufacturing, warehouse and office environment. Able to lift up to 50 lbs.
