Responsibilities
- Install, repair, and maintain plumbing systems using hand tools, power tools, and welding equipment on commercial and residential construction sites
- Read and interpret blueprints, schematics, and mechanical drawings to accurately execute plumbing layouts and system designs
- Perform pipe threading, cutting, fitting, and assembly to ensure secure connections in complex piping networks
- Conduct routine inspections of plumbing systems to identify issues and perform necessary repairs or replacements
- Collaborate with construction teams to coordinate plumbing installation activities within project timelines
- Utilize basic math skills for measurements, calculations, and layout planning during installation processes
- Assist with remodeling, maintenance tasks, and handyman duties as needed to support overall project progress
Experience
- Proven field service experience in construction plumbing or related trades with a strong understanding of plumbing systems and installation techniques
- Demonstrated ability to read blueprints, schematics, and technical diagrams accurately
- Hands-on experience with welding, pipe threading, and working with heavy lifting equipment on construction sites
- Knowledge of HVAC systems, schematics interpretation, and mechanical components is a plus
- Familiarity with carpentry skills, remodeling projects, and general maintenance tasks enhances versatility in the role
- Prior experience with construction site safety protocols and adherence to building codes is essential
