We are seeking a detail-oriented Customer Service Representative to join our team in New Paltz, NY!
Position: Customer Service Representative
Location: New Paltz, NY
Hours: Monday to Friday, 8:00 am to 4:30 pm
Pay: $21.00–$25.00 per hour (based on experience)
Responsibilities
Responsibilities:
- Coordinate with sales, design, production, accounting and external suppliers to address packaging needs, quotes, and orders
- Craft detailed Specs based on feedback from the sales and the customer
- Generate accurate quotes for customers, considering package usage & type, dimensions, production method, and time to produce
- Deliver formal quotes to customers and sales reps via email
- Process customer purchase orders with precision
- Maintain customer accounts, including shipping locations and special requirements
- Conduct thorough reviews of your work and that of your peers to ensure accuracy
Qualifications
Who we're looking for:
- Ideally, you'll have previous experience in business-to-business, customer service, Sales Support or spec building. But if you're a quick learner with a passion for the job, we're eager to hear from you!
- Strong organizational skills is a must in this role
- Excellent mathematical abilities, including working with fractions and measurements.
- Obsessive attention to detail and a drive for continuous improvement
- Stellar communication skills, integrity, and accountability
- Familiarity with resource planning software is a plus
- Strong computer skills, particularly in Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, Outlook)
- Comfortable working with paper filing systems
- High school diploma or equivalent (some college preferred)
