Job Summary
We are seeking a detail-oriented and organized Accounts Payable Clerk to join our team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for managing the company’s accounts payable functions, ensuring timely and accurate processing of invoices, and maintaining financial records in compliance with relevant regulations. This role requires strong analytical skills and proficiency in accounting software, as well as a solid understanding of financial concepts and practices.
Responsibilities
- Process vendor invoices and ensure accuracy in data entry, including coding and approval workflows.
- Perform account reconciliations to verify the accuracy of transactions and resolve discrepancies.
- Maintain the general ledger by recording journal entries related to accounts payable transactions.
- Assist with month-end closing procedures, including accruals and account analysis.
- Collaborate with internal departments to address inquiries related to payments, vendor accounts, and financial reporting.
- Ensure compliance with GAAP regulations in all accounts payable activities.
- Utilize accounting software for efficient transaction processing.
- Participate in audits by providing necessary documentation and supporting schedules related to accounts payable activities.
Requirements
- Proven experience in accounts payable or a similar accounting role.
- Familiarity with accounting software such as Sage, Epicor or Accumatica is preferred.
- Strong understanding of double entry bookkeeping principles.
- Experience with HRIS systems and payroll management tools like ADP or Paychex is a plus.
- Excellent analytical skills with attention to detail for accurate data entry and account reconciliation.
- Proficient in Microsoft Excel.
- Strong organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple tasks effectively under tight deadlines.
- Excellent communication skills to interact with vendors and internal stakeholders professionally.

Pay: $20.00 - $26.00 per hour
