Flooring & Inside Sales

Viking is seeking an individual to specialize in Flooring Sales and assist with Inside Sales support functions as needed in the Belfast location.  

RESPONSIBILITIES (other duties may be assigned as needed):

• Assist customers by understanding their flooring needs and providing recommendations based on their preferences and project needs
• Determining customers’ needs and recommending appropriate products to include hardwood, laminate, tile and vinyl, up-selling additional products and supplies for each job
• Develop, lead and expand existing accounts
• Provide a high level of customer service to ensure clients complete satisfaction
• Develop relationships with customers responding to their questions efficiently and courteously
• Process orders in person, on phone or via email
• Efficient communication with dispatcher coordinating delivery requests to ensure efficiency and customer satisfaction 
• Discussing features and benefits of products and services
• Answering incoming phone calls and emails to assist customers in a timely manner
• Accepting payment and applying it to the appropriate customer account
• Reordering products to keep the store and warehouse shelves well stocked

SKILLS, KNOWLEDGE & ABILITIES:

• Ability to read, write, and speak in English
• Able to complete basic math and measurement skills
• Proficient with Microsoft Office products
• Flooring material knowledge and or experience, preferred
• Detail oriented
• To be self-motivated and have a strong work ethic
• Ability to work independently and within a team setting
• Communication (verbal communication, persuasive impact, listening, written communication)

PHYSICAL DEMANDS

• Ability to lift, carry, and otherwise transport work-related materials that frequently weigh up to 25 lbs. and that may occasionally weigh in excess of 25 lbs
• Ability to stand and sit, climb or balance, and stoop, kneel, crouch, or crawl.
• Manual dexterity.
• Ability to talk and hear.
