- Perform comprehensive cleaning duties including sweeping, mopping, dusting, trash removal, and disinfecting to uphold high standards of cleanliness.
- Conduct detailed floor care tasks such as buffing, polishing, stripping, waxing, and carpet cleaning to maintain optimal appearance and safety.
- Execute industrial cleaning procedures for large-scale facilities, ensuring all areas meet health and safety regulations.
- Provide custodial services for both commercial and residential spaces, including window washing and light painting as needed.
- Maintain facilities by performing minor repairs, restocking supplies, and assisting with general maintenance tasks to ensure operational efficiency.
- Follow established safety protocols during all cleaning activities to prevent accidents and ensure compliance with health standards.
- Document completed tasks accurately and report any maintenance issues or safety concerns promptly to supervisors or clients.
- Support porter duties such as moving supplies or furniture and assisting with special cleaning projects or events.
- At least 2 years experience in janitorial work, custodial services, or facilities maintenance within commercial or residential settings.
- Strong knowledge of cleaning techniques including floor care (buffing, stripping, waxing), industrial cleaning methods, and general sanitation practices.
- Ability to operate cleaning equipment such as buffers, extractors, pressure washers, and other janitorial tools safely and effectively. Must provide your own cleaning equipment and supplies.
- Familiarity with commercial cleaning standards and safety regulations; experience with residential painting or industrial cleaning is a plus.
- Excellent attention to detail with a proactive approach to identifying areas needing attention or repair.
- Reliable transportation to access multiple job sites as needed; ability to work flexible hours including evenings or weekends if required.
