What are the responsibilities and job description for the SALES REP ST CLOUD position at VIKING COCA COLA BOTTLING CO?
Summary: The Sales Representative generates revenue by selling product and managing customer relationships.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
1. Makes regular scheduled sales calls to develop relationships and follow up on leads.
2. Manages customer inventory by entering orders into handhelds.
3. Merchandises products according to merchandising standards.
4. Assists with deliveries/display building as needed.
5. Builds business through the implementation of product promotions.
6. Provides specific Point of Sale for outlets.
7. Achieves targeted volume/gross profit goals.
8. Verifies correct pricing for each outlet on a daily basis.
9. Ensures a high level of customer satisfaction through interactions and follow through.
10. Maintains open communication with delivery reps and merchandisers to assure customer satisfaction.
11. Collects accounts receivables.
12. Conducts morning check out of drivers.
13. Troubleshoots problems that arise with product or deliveries.
14. Keeps informed of new products, services and other general information of interest to customers.
15. Follows all company safety rules.
16. Performs other duties as assigned.
MINIMUM EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE
• Requires high school diploma or equivalent.
• Previous sales experience or related education required.
• A valid class D driver’s license is required with satisfactory completion of a Motor Vehicle Check according to Vehicle Safety Policy.

• Requires excellent oral communication skills, including the ability to negotiate, problem- solve, listen to customer concerns and make presentations.
• Requires written communication skills to complete paperwork and prepare proposals.
• Requires organization skills to manage time effectively and execute responsibilities.
• Requires ability to perform basic trade math functions.
WORKING AND ENVIRONMENTAL CONDITIONS
• Occasionally exposed to extreme cold when checking and stocking inventory in customer coolers.
• Exposed to outside weather conditions when going in and out of customer locations.
• Spends the majority of the time in the market at customer locations.
• Works in various work environments when at customer locations in the market, and in office setting at the branch.
• Requires ability to work extended hours (10 ) or until all necessary work is completed each day. May be required to work weekends.
• Requires local travel in all weather conditions.

Pushing/Pulling:
Dynamic Pushing/Pulling (Rarely) 2-wheel cart loaded with up to 200# (10 cases cans, kegs) for up to 500 feet
Dynamic Pushing/Pulling (Rarely) sliding product at variable heights (from floor to 60” level) from storage in truck/warehouse and while merchandising (up to 30#)
Dynamic Pushing/Pulling (Rarely) 2-wheel cart loaded with 165# up/down ramp
Ambulatory Activity:
Standing/Walking (Frequently) standing on variable surfaces throughout entire shift
Climbing (Rarely) Step up/down from 15-19” platform/step heights
Stairs (Rarely for Pre-Sell) Up/down multiple flights of stairs with and without product on twowheel cart (up to 165#)
Repetitive use of hand/grasping: (Occasionally) Light to forceful manipulating/grasping of product, carts, doors.
Reaching: (Rarely) Up to 32 inches in front of body at floor to 60” heights while reaching for product.
Squatting/Stooping/Kneeling: (Occasionally) To as low as ground level while picking/stocking product.
Sitting: (Frequently) seated in car for variable durations between route stops
