Duties
- Assist with landscape installation and maintenance tasks such as planting trees, shrubs, flowers, and installing hardscape features like patios or walkways
- Operate hand tools and power tools safely for tasks including mowing, trimming, pruning, and general groundskeeping
- Support irrigation system installation and repairs to ensure efficient watering of landscapes
- Perform lawn care duties including mowing, edging, fertilizing, aerating, and snow plowing during winter months
- Conduct landscape upkeep by pruning trees and shrubs, performing tree trimming, and maintaining garden beds
- Maintain cleanliness of work sites by removing debris and ensuring tools are stored properly for safety and efficiency
Experience
- Previous experience in landscaping or gardening is preferred but not required; on-the-job training will be provided
- Knowledge of horticulture principles and landscape maintenance techniques is a plus
- Familiarity with hand tools such as shovels, rakes, pruners, blowers, and power tools including trimmers or chainsaws is advantageous
- Mechanical knowledge related to equipment operation and basic repairs will be beneficial
- Ability to perform physical labor outdoors in various weather conditions with stamina and attention to safety standards
