Purpose
The Warehouse Operations Manager is responsible for overseeing and driving the daily outbound operations of the distribution center, ensuring efficiency, safety, quality and cost targets are consistently achieved. This role requires strong leadership, problem-solving, and organizational skills to manage workflows, drive continuous improvement, and support both short-term goals and long-term strategic initiatives.
Reporting to the Director of Operations, you will help continue Vikan North America’s reputation as a great place to work and a leader in customer service.
Resolving escalated issues and understanding the importance of coordinating with all departments to further the company’s goals and growth, is a priority when it comes to this role.
Manager Responsibilities
- Manages outbound and shipping daily activities, including order processing, documentation, and transportation oversight
- Work closely with the management team to ensure all operational, administrative, and compliance functions within the department are properly executed in accordance with best practices set by the Director of Operations
- Collaborate with HR on onboarding process for team employees
- Identify, lead, implement changes in areas which result in significant improvements to overall operation performance and warehouse optimization
- Anticipate and track operational and tactical risks and provide strategic solutions
- Following and executing on 5S and lean processes
- Manage all aspects of outbound warehouse department, including accountability on daily metrics and goals
- Lead, train, coach, and develop outbound warehouse staff to achieve operational goals and KPIs
- Ensure compliance with company policies, OSHA standards, and industry regulations
- Manage scheduling, labor planning, and shift coverage to optimize throughput and meet outbound operational demands
- Collaborate and partner with each functional operations leader to drive efficiency and alignment across all operational areas
- Manage and conduct quarterly and yearly employee reviews
- Any additional task set by the Director of Operations
Requirements
- 10 years of Order Fulfillment, Shipping, and Warehouse Experience
- 5 years of Management experience
- 3 years of experience working with a Warehouse Management System (WMS), Microsoft Dynamics GP is preferred
- Associate’s Degree in Management and/or Business Administration or relevant work experience
Preferences
- Bachelor’s Degree in Management and/or Business Administration or relevant work experience
- 5S and Six Sigma certified
- Knowledge of Supply Chain (i.e., working with carriers for the best shipping price, etc.)

Base Pay: From $75,000.00 per year
