Description:
- Vika Living is a startup manufacturing company based in Carson, CA. We’re developing a new kind of micro-housing unit for rentals and humanitarian applications. We’re hiring production technicians to work on various production and prototyping tasks related to the construction of these housing units:
- Basic plumbing & electrical installation
- Assembly of fiberglass structural panels
- Assembly & mounting of cabinetry & furniture
- Basic woodworking tasks
- Glazing & waterproofing
Responsibilities:
- Assemble various parts of the unit by following manufacturing drawings & instructions.
- Safely use various hand tools & woodshop equipment to fabricate components.
- Perform quality inspections based on a list of requirements.
- Work alongside the manufacturing team to provide feedback that continually improves the product & process.
- Occasionally travel (<10%) to aid in the on-site installation of units.
Qualifications:
- Ability to read & understand instruction documents such as safety rules, drawings, quality inspections, and instruction manuals.
- Ability to do basic construction-related math
- Knowledge of hand tools, such as drills, wrenches, rivet guns, etc.
- High school education or equivalent (preferred)
- Previous experience in a production environment (preferred)
Job Type: Full-time
Pay: $22.00 - $24.00 per hour
Schedule:
- 8 hour shift
- Monday to Friday
- Overtime

- Carson, CA 90745: Reliably commute or planning to relocate before starting work (Required)
