Vijapura Psychiatry is seeking a full-time Psychiatric Mental Health Nurse Practitioner to join our physician-led outpatient psychiatry practice. Position Overview
The Psychiatric Nurse Practitioner will provide outpatient psychiatric evaluation and medication management for adult patients in a structured, supportive clinical setting. The role includes diagnostic assessment, treatment planning, psychopharmacology, patient education, measurement-informed follow-up, and coordination of care.
This is a full-time W-2 position with administrative support, clinical infrastructure, and ongoing access to psychiatrist consultation.
Responsibilities
Provide psychiatric evaluations and follow-up medication management visits.
Develop thoughtful diagnostic formulations and individualized treatment plans.
Prescribe psychiatric medications using evidence-based and patient-centered principles.
Incorporate psychotherapy-informed communication, motivational interviewing, lifestyle guidance, and whole-health considerations into patient care.
Collaborate with supervising psychiatrists, therapists, primary care clinicians, and other members of the care team.
Maintain clear, timely, and clinically appropriate documentation.
Participate in case consultation, supervision, and collaborative learning.
Support a high-touch patient experience consistent with the values of Vijapura Psychiatry.
Ideal Candidate
Licensed Psychiatric Mental Health Nurse Practitioner.
Minimum of 1 year of outpatient psychiatric experience required.
Interested in practicing within a whole-health / integrative psychiatry model.
Open to collaboration, feedback, learning, and close physician supervision.
Strong clinical judgment and commitment to evidence-based care.
Comfortable treating mood disorders, anxiety disorders, ADHD, trauma-related conditions, and common outpatient psychiatric presentations.
Values professionalism, warmth, responsiveness, and excellent patient communication.
Interested in long-term clinical growth within a physician-led practice.
