Job Overview
We are seeking an experienced Salesforce Platform Administrator II to provide advanced Salesforce administration and platform support across agencies and departments
The selected candidate will support a multi-org Salesforce environment consisting of 11 statewide Salesforce organizations, leveraging Public Sector Solutions, Experience Cloud, Service Cloud, and Sales Cloud. This role will be responsible for day-to-day administration, user and security management, platform configuration, small-to-medium enhancements, data quality, troubleshooting, reporting, and release support.
The Salesforce Platform Administrator II will work closely with agency stakeholders, vendor partners, internal Salesforce teams, and organization owners to ensure Salesforce solutions remain secure, stable, compliant, and aligned with State of Tennessee standards and business requirements.
Experience working in public sector environments and complex multi-org Salesforce landscapes is highly preferred.
Key Responsibilities
- Provide daily Salesforce administrative support, including:
- User provisioning and deprovisioning
- Profile and permission management
- Role hierarchy and security configuration
- Access and sharing management
- Implement small-to-medium Salesforce enhancements, including:
- Page layout and Lightning configuration updates
- Salesforce Flow and automation changes
- Minor object and data model modifications
- Validation rules and related configuration
- Monitor and maintain Salesforce data quality through:
- Duplicate prevention
- Data cleansing and hygiene
- Validation activities
- Data integrity checks
- Provide administration and support across Salesforce environments utilizing:
- Public Sector Solutions
- Experience Cloud
- Service Cloud
- Sales Cloud
- Troubleshoot and resolve Salesforce user issues, escalating complex technical concerns when necessary.
- Collaborate with agency stakeholders to understand business requirements and translate them into effective Salesforce configuration solutions.
- Support release management activities, including:
- Sandbox preparation
- Testing coordination
- Change validation
- Deployment support
- Ensure all Salesforce administration and configuration activities comply with STS security, governance, documentation, and audit requirements.
- Coordinate with vendor teams and internal Salesforce teams to maintain consistency and standards across multiple Salesforce organizations.
- Create, update, and maintain Salesforce reports and dashboards based on agency requirements.
- Monitor Salesforce platform releases and identify opportunities for enhancements and improvements.
- Manage multiple priorities and requests within a complex multi-org environment.
- Participate in Agile/iterative delivery processes and related team activities.
- Maintain appropriate technical and administrative documentation.
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree from an accredited college or university in:
- Computer Science
- Information Systems
- Business
- or a related field.
- At least 3 years of professional Salesforce administration experience.
- Strong knowledge of Salesforce administration, including:
- User and security management
- Profiles, roles, and permissions
- Object configuration
- Page layouts
- Salesforce Flow
- Automation
- Validation rules
- Data management
- Reports and dashboards
- Salesforce Certified Administrator certification.
- Salesforce Certified Advanced Administrator (Administrator II) certification, or ability to obtain the certification within the required timeframe.
- Strong analytical, troubleshooting, and problem-solving skills.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
- Ability to work independently as well as collaboratively with agency stakeholders, vendors, and internal technical teams.
- Ability to manage competing priorities in a multi-org Salesforce environment.
- Understanding of Agile methodologies and iterative delivery practices.
