🚢 We’re Hiring: Change Order Estimator II | Seattle, WA
Support Navy ship repair & modernization programs by preparing accurate, defensible cost estimates and pricing packages for RCCs, REAs, UCAs, and other contract modifications.
What You’ll Do:
• Review RCCs, engineering changes, growth work & customer technical direction
• Interpret NAVSEA work items, Standard Items, 4E Specs, SIDs, drawings & manuals
• Conduct ship checks to validate scope, access & production methods
• Develop detailed labor, material, subcontractor, equipment & schedule‑impact estimates
• Prepare Basis of Estimate (BOE) documentation & pricing narratives
• Coordinate with Engineering, Planning, Production, Scheduling, Procurement, Contracts & QA
• Solicit & evaluate vendor and subcontractor quotes
• Track estimates through proposal submission, negotiation & award
• Support customer fact‑finding & negotiations with clear rationale
• Ensure compliance with FAR, DFARS & NAVSEA requirements
What You Bring:
• 2–5 yrs estimating, planning, engineering or ship repair/industrial experience
• Ability to read drawings, specs & technical documentation
• Strong analytical & math skills; Excel, Bluebeam & ERP proficiency preferred
• Ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast‑paced environment
• Strong communication & documentation skills
• U.S. Citizenship required
