In partnership with Green Mountain Electromagnetics, we help clients meet EMC and Cybersecurity standards for conformity while providing additional services like threat modeling, static design reviews, and ongoing vulnerability testing.
Role Description
The Cyber Security Engineer is a full-time, initially hybrid and then fully remote position based in Burlington, VT. You will be responsible for conducting vulnerability assessments, implementing and validating network and application security protocols, and maintaining information security standards. This role involves evaluating systems to identify potential threats, collaborating on secure designs, and developing strategies to mitigate security risks. You will also perform regular security testing and ensure compliance with relevant cybersecurity standards and regulations.
Qualifications
- Proficiency in Application Security and Vulnerability Assessment
- Hands-on experience in Cybersecurity and Information Security protocols
- Expertise in Network Security, including incident response and risk mitigation
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with the ability to prioritize tasks effectively
- Familiarity with cybersecurity regulations and industry standards, such as ISO 27001 or NIST SP 800s
- Experience with penetration testing tools and threat modeling methodologies
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Cybersecurity, or a related field, or equivalent experience
- Relevant certifications such as CISSP, CEH, or CompTIA Security are a plus
Compensation
Depending on experience level, compensation ranges from $60,000 (Entry-Level) up to $150,000 (Well-Qualified Mid-Senior Level) with the opportunity to also receive equity.
