We are seeking a dedicated Security Officer to join our Lexington patrol team. This role is vital in maintaining a safe and secure environment through proactive patrolling, customer service, and emergency response. The Security Officer will be responsible for ensuring the safety of personnel and property while providing excellent customer service to visitors and staff. This full-time position offers a consistent schedule with rotating shifts, allowing for regular days off every other weekend. The ideal candidate will be attentive, professional, and capable of handling various security-related duties with integrity and professionalism.
Responsibilities
- Conduct regular patrols of assigned areas to monitor security and prevent incidents.
- Provide exceptional customer service to visitors, staff, and clients, addressing inquiries and assisting as needed.
- Respond promptly to emergency situations following established procedures to ensure safety and minimize risks.
- Write detailed incident reports documenting any security breaches, accidents, or unusual activities observed during shifts.
- Enforce safety policies and procedures to maintain a secure environment for all individuals on-site.
- Collaborate with law enforcement or emergency responders when necessary to resolve security issues effectively.
- Maintain visibility through consistent patrolling to deter potential security threats and reassure personnel.
Requirements
- Strong customer service skills with the ability to communicate effectively with diverse individuals.
- Physical fitness and the ability to perform patrol duties that may include standing, walking, or observing large areas for extended periods.
- Knowledge of emergency response procedures and incident report writing is essential.
- Ability to remain alert, attentive, and professional during all shifts, including overnight hours.
- Prior experience in security or related fields is preferred but not required; training will be provided as needed.
- Flexibility to work on a rotating schedule that includes evening shifts from 7:00 PM to 5:00 AM on a 2-2-3 pattern with consistent days off every other weekend.
