Vigilant Healthcare Solutions is seeking an Anesthesiologist to join a collaborative and highly respected medical team. This is a locum opportunity in Richardson, Texas, with both nighttime and flexible daytime scheduling options in a modern clinical environment where patient safety and quality of care are top priorities.
You will provide comprehensive anesthesia care for a broad adult surgical caseload while collaborating with surgeons, anesthesia professionals, nurses, and perioperative staff. This opportunity is ideal for a physician seeking a consistent night schedule or a flexible daytime schedule that includes night-call coverage.
What You’ll Do
- Conduct preoperative evaluations and develop individualized anesthesia care plans
- Administer and manage anesthesia for a diverse range of adult surgical procedures
- Monitor patients throughout induction, maintenance, emergence, and postoperative recovery
- Respond to urgent clinical situations and manage perioperative complications
- Collaborate with surgeons, anesthesia team members, nursing staff, and other clinical professionals
- Maintain accurate and timely clinical documentation
What We’re Looking For
- Doctor of Medicine or Doctor of Osteopathic Medicine degree
- Completion of an accredited anesthesiology residency program
- Board-certified or board-eligible in anesthesiology
- Active, unrestricted Texas medical license or eligibility to obtain one
- Current ACLS certification
- Recent experience managing a broad adult anesthesia caseload
- Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a fast-paced clinical setting
Schedule & Coverage
Two scheduling options are available:
- Night schedule: 7:00 PM–7:00 AM, approximately three shifts per week
- Day schedule: 10- or 12-hour shifts with willingness to participate in night call
- Post-call days off are provided for physicians participating in night-call coverage
- Caseload includes general surgery, orthopedics, neurological procedures, obstetrics and gynecology, urology, vascular surgery, podiatry, and gastrointestinal procedures
- No pediatric cases
