Job Title: Safety Advisor Department: Health, Safety & Environmental AffairsReports to: Senior Manager, Production Safety or Client RepresentativeJob Type: Temporary/Project-Based Pay Range: $2200 to $2900 per week Job Summary The Safety Advisor supports client health, safety and environmental programs for motion picture and TV productions and contributes to the safety culture and training of cast and crew. This includes compliance with regulatory requirements and advising on best practices in production safety. Key Responsibilities Manage environmental, health & safety consulting service for client productionsEvaluate production concepts, scripts, and pitches for safety and environmental concernsCollaborate with Production Executives, Producers, and Unit Production Managers to mitigate safety risksSupport productions in planning and execution phases; assess safety needs and secure vendorsAttend technical scouts and production meetingsDevelop and distribute the Production Injury and Illness Prevention Program (IIPP)Mentor other safety professionalsEvaluate sets, stages, and locations for safety issues and recommend corrective actionsRespond to and investigate production incidents and emergenciesCoordinate and deliver EHS training to production employeesPromote safety culture and injury reduction initiativesMaintain relationships with industry safety bodies and regulatory agenciesResolve safety issues quickly during productionCollaborate with risk managers and insurers on loss preventionResearch applicable regulations based on filming locationsLiaise with regulatory agencies and internal stakeholdersRequired Qualifications OSHA 30 certificationExperience in studio or on-location production environmentsDeep understanding of TV and film production practices, equipment, and safety considerationsExcellent organizational, verbal, and written communication skillsStrong problem-solving skills, with the ability to work in a fast-paced environmentProficiency in Google Workspace, Microsoft Office, Zoom,WebExAbility to work under pressure and handle confidential mattersAbility to work at heights (catwalks, ladders, roofs, scaffolding, etc.)Capable of handling tasks that demand physical strength and comfortable working outdoors in diverse weather conditionsAbility to travel both domestically and internationallyMust have or be able to obtain valid documentation for international travelRecommended Qualifications Bachelor’s degree in safety management, Industrial Hygiene, or related fieldBCSP (ASP, CSP, SME, etc.) or COHN, COHN-S certificationFamiliarity with applicable federal, regional, and local EHS regulations (OSHA, Cal/OSHA, EPA,etc.)Facilities EHS and Production Safety hybrid experienceCSATF Safety Advisor Training Certified Asbestos Building InspectorOSHA Certified Fall Protection Competent PersonFirst Aid/CPRWork Environment & Physical Requirements Hybrid role with regular on-set presence requiredDomestic and international travel may be requiredReliable transportation or ability to self-report to and from work required for local hires Ability to: Walk for extended periods and sit for long durationsWork at heights (catwalks, ladders, roofs, scaffolding, etc.)Perform physically demanding tasks in diverse outdoor weather conditionsEqual Opportunity Statement Vigilant EHS Solutions, Inc. is an Equal Opportunity Employer.
