Summary of Position Requirements:
This position is directly responsible for organizing, supervising, scheduling & planning of assigned fire protection systems and areas.
Principal Duties and Responsibilities:
This position requires a Team Player and self-starter with excellent communication, management, and interpersonal skills. The primary roles and responsibilities include but are not limited to:
- Prepare project budgets, schedules, cash flow projections, specifications, presentations, and periodic progress reports.
- Lead project team.
- Provide technical expertise on cost estimates, assist in negotiating contracts and change orders, and establish project objectives.
- Actively engage in value engineering through all phases of design to ensure the highest quality at the lowest costs.
- Resolve field construction problems and change orders to minimize cost and schedule impacts.
- Interface with all project and system stakeholders and attend meetings as required.
- Develop and recommend standard operating policies and procedures for all development and construction activities related to the relative scope of work.
- Coordinate all plan sets and submittals.
- Manage close-out and maintain all as-builts and documentation.
- Stay current on regulations and construction technologies

Qualifications
Education and Experience Requirement:
Bachelors degree in an accredited industry-related curriculum (fire protection, safety, construction, etc) plus a minimum of 5 years hands-on experience.
- Bachelor’s Degree in Fire Protection, Safety, Mechanical, Electrical, Architectural Engineering or Construction management
- Minimum 5 years of fire protection experience and/or related educational background
- Strong analytical, organizational, and communication skills (both written and verbal)
- Experience managing multiple projects
- Familiarity with drawing, permitting, and regulatory requirements
- Good interpersonal and problem-solving skills
- Able to prioritize and work with multiple supervisors
- Knowledge/experience with Microsoft Office suite
Physical Requirements:
Must be able to read large quantities of information. Must maintain a professional appearance. Finger dexterity in operating a computer keyboard and calculator. Office work requires sitting at a computer monitor for extended periods of time, completing paperwork and to receive/return phone messages. Standing is required for filing, scanning, and copying. This is a position also requires walking, standing, and climbing of stairs in/around construction sites.
