Radiologic Technologist (X-Ray Tech)
Location: Columbia VA Medical Center – Columbia, SC
Position: Full-Time
Schedule: Monday–Friday | 8-Hour Day Shifts
Overview
Vighter LLC is seeking a skilled Radiologic Technologist (Rad Tech) to provide high-quality diagnostic imaging services at the Columbia VA Medical Center. This is an excellent opportunity to work in a professional healthcare environment serving our nation's Veterans while enjoying a consistent Monday–Friday schedule.
Responsibilities
- Perform diagnostic X-ray examinations in accordance with physician orders and VA protocols.
- Position patients properly to obtain high-quality diagnostic images.
- Review images for quality and ensure accurate patient identification.
- Prepare and educate patients before imaging procedures.
- Perform routine, portable, fluoroscopic, and operating room imaging as required.
- Document examinations accurately using the VA electronic medical record system (CPRS/VistA/PACS).
- Follow radiation safety, infection control, and National Patient Safety Goals.
- Monitor imaging equipment, report malfunctions, and assist with quality assurance activities.
- Collaborate with radiologists, physicians, nurses, and other healthcare professionals to deliver outstanding patient care.
Required:
- Graduate of an accredited Radiologic Technology program.
- Minimum of two (2) years of experience as a Radiologic Technologist in a hospital or clinical setting.
- ARRT (R) certification.
- Current Basic Life Support (BLS) certification.
- Current unrestricted Radiologic Technologist license (state license as applicable).
