Job Title: Licensed Vocational Nurse (LVN)
About the Job
Vighter is seeking a skilled Licensed Vocational Nurse (LVN) to join our team in Sonoita, Arizona. As an LVN, you will work under the medical direction of our National Medical Director and Physician Supervisors to provide healthcare services to individuals detained by Customs and Border Protection (CBP).
Responsibilities:
- Perform direct patient care as directed or indicated within the scope of your license and certifications.
- Consult with/or work under the direct supervision of a Physician or Advanced Practice Provider (APP) for complex medical, pediatric, or psychiatric patients.
- Conduct history and physical assessments, behavioral health care support, minor outpatient procedures, patient education, and refer any care beyond the scope of the medical unit to offsite facilities.
- Maintain compliance with DHS and CBP policies and any overriding accreditation standards that may apply.
- Ability to properly use equipment and supplies in simple diagnostic and treatment procedures.
Requirements:
- A minimum of one year of experience in direct patient care and licensed/certified as a Licensed Vocational/Practical Nurse (LVN).
- Qualifying experience includes detention or correctional healthcare, residential healthcare, a hospital, outpatient clinic, nursing home, or other supervised medical, nursing, or patient care facility that provided direct patient care.
- A current, active, valid, unencumbered license/registration/certification to practice healthcare in the state in which the candidate will work.
- A Basic Life Support (BLS) certification from one of the following approved organizations: American Heart Association (AHA), AHA Advanced Cardiac Life Support (ACLS), American Red Cross CPB/BLS for the professional rescuer, American Safety and Health Institute (ASHI) CPR and AED for healthcare providers and professional responders.
