What You'll Do
- Deliver skilled occupational therapy interventions under OT-established Plans of Care
- Support patients with ADLs, functional mobility, upper extremity use, home safety, energy conservation, and adaptive techniques
- Reinforce patient and caregiver education, home programs, and safety strategies
- Monitor patient progress and communicate updates or concerns to the supervising OT and interdisciplinary care team
- Complete timely visit documentation aligned with Medicare home health standards and agency expectations
Requirements
- Active Virginia Certified Occupational Therapy Assistant license
- Graduate of an ACOTE-accredited Occupational Therapy Assistant program
- 1-2 years clinical experience
- Home health experience preferred; skilled nursing, rehab, outpatient, acute care, or geriatric experience welcome
- Reliable transportation
- Comfortable with at least 8 visits/month (PRN); weekend availability is optional unless separately agreed upon
